The joy of classroom interactions without the delays and glitches of overloaded Wi-F and sometimes domestic commitments is without measure. It is a time to feel grateful for the ordinary. For the online distance learning students, study continues as per usual.

In order to ensure COVID-19 doesn’t creep back, our campuses have been thoroughly cleaned, health and safety guidelines are prominently displayed around the campuses, appropriate PPE gear is being worn where required, hand sanitiser is readily available and physical distancing obligations are being adhered to. Government protocol requirements are being managed in class by SIT tutors and students continue to be briefed on the requirements that need to be met.

Lockdown was a difficult time for many students as well as staff members, as life became a juggling act. Caring for small children, monitoring online home-schooling as well as completing personal workloads, was no small feat. The sacrifices that were made and the hardships that were endured are acknowledged and respected. However, providing great care is taken and guidelines are followed, from this point on it’s onwards and upwards for our students and staff.
