Southern Institute of Technology (SIT), a business division of Te Pūkenga, is a well-recognised provider of tertiary vocational training, offering qualifications from certificates to master’s levels, including the Bachelor of Information Technology. We are seeking a full-time IT Tutor to join our dedicated team and help shape the future of our learners.
About You
You are a passionate IT professional with a strong academic background and/or industry experience, ready to inspire and guide students in achieving their learning goals. Ideally, you will have:
- A Bachelor’s degree in IT or higher, with 5+ years of industry experience
- A postgraduate qualification (Master’s or Doctorate) in IT/Computer Science (preferred)
- Experience in the New Zealand tertiary education sector, including research supervision (advantageous)
- Proficiency in programming languages such as C#, Java, Python, and optionally JavaScript, HTML/CSS, SQL
- Knowledge of tools and frameworks such as Visual Studio, React, Unity, Unreal, ASP.NET, Docker
- Experience with learning management systems (LMS) and teaching technologies
