Anna has been teaching at SIT since 2010 and is a passionate teacher and researcher who believes strongly in local resource management, local knowledge, and local development of food systems. She emigrated from the UK in 2006 and is now a proud citizen of Aotearoa. She has two daughters, a huge garden, dogs and chickens. Anna’s research interests include sustainable food systems, community-based natural resource management, ecological resilience, customary and local fish management, phronetic social science research, participation and policy design, the science policy interface, environmental communication, and social involvement/collaboration in climate change action.
