SIT Zero Fees English Scholarship

Study English at SIT with zero tuition fees* and take a smarter pathway into your future studies in New Zealand.

The Zero Fees English Scholarship allows international students to begin with an approved English language programme, then apply their tuition bond toward a mainstream qualification of at least one year when entry requirements are met.

With multiple start dates and recognised English programmes at Levels 3, 4, and 5, this scholarship is an ideal way to improve your English, prepare for further study, and move forward without paying twice for your education.

Important Information

SIT is proud to bring back our popular Zero Fees English Scholarship for international students.

How it works

  1. Pay the tuition fee upfront (bond) for the introductory English language programme.
  2. Meet the English entry requirements and receive a Conditional Offer of Place into a mainstream programme (minimum one year full-time).
  3. The bond is credited against your mainstream programme tuition fees.
  4. Pay the remaining tuition fee balance and any applicable resource fee.

Need more time?

If you haven't yet met the English entry requirement, you can apply in writing to hold your bond for up to one year. The bond can only be applied to the mainstream programme for which you've received a Conditional Offer of Place.

Below are the details of the scholarship and English language courses/training scheme offered.

  • Duration:  26 weeks full time.
  • Starts every Monday
  • Course fee: $9,000 (bond) + $520 Insurance = $9,520

If the student is unable to meet the required level of English, they may then enrol for further General English (minimum 12 weeks) at $330 per week (plus $20 per week for insurance) or the New Zealand Certificate in English Language.  However further enrolment will not eligible for the Zero Fees Scholarship and the fees/bond paid will not be credited into the mainstream programme.
