Southern Institute of Technology has the above position available at our MAINZ Christchurch. It is desirable to have a certificate in event and entertainment with professional experience in the field of theatre lighting and entertainment events.
A successful applicant will need to cover student contact time to deliver the Certificate in Entertainment and Event Technology's lighting stream. In addition to this, they will need to cover events, maintain lighting and assets.
SIT is looking for people who are good communicators, with a strong aspiration to work with a mix of international and domestic students, someone who is self-motivated, diligent with the ability to work well within our existing teams.
While previous teaching experience would be an advantage, training is available in this area, with academic staff being encouraged to undertake study towards the New Zealand Certificate in Adult Tertiary Teaching (Level 5), offered through SIT.
