SIT's English Language course is competitively priced for Domestic Students at $333 for 17 weeks,
or $330 per week for International Students.

The aim of this micro-credential is to prepare students for further ESOL or mainstream study destinations so that they can communicate more effectively in the community, in employment and/or in further study options. The programme develops learners’ reading, writing, listening and speaking skills through course materials, authentic texts and practical learning activities relevant to everyday, workplace and study contexts. Learners engage in a range of reading and writing tasks, listen to authentic spoken texts, and develop their speaking skills through conversations, spoken exchanges and oral presentations. Continuous formative assessment and constructive feedback support learners to monitor their progress, strengthen their language skills and achieve the learning outcomes.

The General English Language Micro-credential (Level 4) is a 17-tutorial week, full-time programme of study comprising 36 credits at Level 4. The papers are studied in an integrated, coherent structure. Learning activities and assessment tasks will utilise authentic New Zealand contexts and activities.
