The Murihiku Tertiary Academy (MTA) has kicked off 2025 with another fantastic result in enrolments. This year, there are 253 students from local secondary schools participating across 16 different programmes, reflecting the continued growth and success of the academy.
The MTA programmes began on the 27th and 28th of February, with students from across the Southern region heading to Invercargill, Gore and Telford for hands-on learning in carpentry, automotive engineering, hairdressing, animation, hospitality, equine, nursing, and more.
With a diverse range of courses providing practical experience and real-world life skills, each programme is also designed to spark passion and pave the way for future careers. Since its beginning in 2013, the MTA has been a game-changer for young learners exploring vocational and trade pathways, and this year is no exception.
