The International Section at Southern Institute of Technology a business division of Te Pūkenga currently has the above permanent full-time vacant position which plays a key role in supporting international students to ensure they have a positive student experience at SIT- Te Pūkenga.

This role requires the appointee to work with students who come from diverse ethnic backgrounds as well as various internal and external groups. As such the incumbent must demonstrate a high level of integrity, responsibility, and patience.

The successful applicant will preferably have Tertiary qualification, with experience in providing support to students in a tertiary setting. It is expected that the applicant will have most, if not all, of the following attributes:

·           Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

·           Empathetic and approachable demeanour

·           Versatility and adaptability

·           Effective organisational and time management skills

·           Positive work ethic

·           Ability to work in a multicultural team environment

•           Knowledge of Immigration New Zealand requirements and procedures
•           Experience in international education expos, ideally within the China market
