Southern Institute of Technology (SIT), a business division of Te Pūkenga, is seeking an experienced and dedicated Academic Administrator to join our dynamic team. This position plays a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of enrolment management and academic administration. The ideal candidate will possess strong organisational, and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently and effectively.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

The Academic Administrator will oversee the efficient management of admissions, enrolments and student data, while providing exceptional customer service and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the smooth operation of academic processes.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage admissions and enrolments, ensuring a seamless process for prospective and current students
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date student data and reporting systems
  • Provide exceptional customer service and support to students, faculty, and staff
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth operation of academic programmes
  • Oversee fee management and ensure compliance with institutional policies and regulations
  • Build and maintain courses within the Student Management System (SMS)

The successful applicant will have the following:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in administration, preferably in enrolment management or academic administration
  • Strong knowledge of enrolment policies, student records management, and admissions processes
  • Excellent leadership, organisational, and communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively across departments and with diverse stakeholders

This is a full-time position; however, part-time arrangements may be considered for the right candidate
