Southern Institute of Technology – Te Pūkenga has a vacancy for an experienced administrator to join our Health and Humanities faculty.

Support staff play a vital role in the effective operation of our faculties and departments. We are seeking an experienced and capable individual to support the day-to-day administration of our busy faculty office.

About the Role

As a Faculty Administrator, you will work closely with the Head of Faculty to deliver high-quality support services to students and staff. You’ll be responsible for coordinating administrative functions, ensuring tasks are completed accurately, efficiently, and with full confidentiality. This role involves taking the lead in managing the faculty’s administrative requirements.

Key Requirements

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A Certificate in Business (Administration) or a related qualification
  • At least five years’ experience in an administrative role
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships at all levels, both internally and externally
  • Proven organisational and administrative skills, with a strong commitment to confidentiality
  • High-level computer literacy and a willingness to learn new systems
  • A proactive, can-do attitude and an open, inquisitive approach to problem-solving
  • The ability to work independently and stay self-motivated in a dynamic environment
